MEGA2  Standards Workshop - Orlando, FL, USA May 16-20, 2005

The ZIMS Data Standards Workshops are designed to help our software developer (CGI) define the rules for recording information in ZIMS so that this information is valuable to all users. (For example, when ISIS software users input the sex of an animal, data standards determine the choices you have to describe that animal’s sex.)

Understanding that it will be difficult for experts to attend a five-day workshop, we have divided the workshop into three sessions.

  1. The first two days (16-17 May) will focus on the topics related to animal management, animal inventory, population management, enclosure management, taxonomy, group management, and institution management.
  2. Wednesday, 18 May will be a combined day-long session of both groups.
  3. The last two days (19-20 May) will focus on clinical medicine, drug inventory, necropsy, pathology, nutrition, preventative healthcare, protocol management, sampling, and scheduling.

Your participation in the ZIMS data standards development process is extremely important, and we hope that you are able to attend. Your institution’s financial support of your participation in this workshop will be recognized.
